Still waiting

And that’s it for Bulldogs who have landed on teams right now. There are however several guys who we are still waiting to hear from in regards to free agency.

Dominick Sanders is one of the most productive safeties in SEC history. He had 16 interceptions during his time in Athens and he’s another guy who can feel a bit slighted. Sure, he isn’t an exceptional athlete, but the guy knows how to play football. Considering how terrible some of the NFL’s secondary play is, the guy should land a tryout and soon.

Jeb Blazevich is another guy that I expect to get a tryout. Having started out strong in his Freshman season, he saw his production decline as UGA used less and less tight end sets during his time in Athens. But he continued to be a great blocker and leaders throughout. I think he’ll end up trying out somewhere and he might surprise us.

Then there is Cameron Nizialek. One of the best punters in the entire country last season, it’s not surprising to see him go undrafted. It’s very rare for punters to get picked, bu I expect him to be in a training camp. Nizialek was out of this world for UGA in 2017 and I really think that one day, we could see him punting on Sundays.

Next: Should UGA renew their rivalry with Clemson?

So that’s it for now after a very hectic weekend. If any other Dawgs sign free agency deals, don’t worry, we’ll be on top of it. We’ll be keeping an eye out on NFL training camps to see which UDFA’s end up making the rosters and which UGA rookies are making an impact. But for now, that’s all folks.
