How he could be used in 2018:

Cook is not going to come in and become an every down running back. His body isn’t ready for the pounding that sort of position entails. Bu that’s not going to be an issue for him because there are going to be lots of other ways to get him the ball.

While you don’t want to take carries away from explosive backs like Swift, I can see Cook getting some. He’s going to bring a real change of pace to the team. While Swift and Zeus are explosive, Cook brings just a bit more home run speed and he’s a little shiftier.

He’s much more than just a running back. Cook is a natural receiver who will make plays out of the slot as well as coming out of the backfield in the passing game. He’s also very capable of making a big impact on the return game on Saturdays.

In his freshman year, I think he’s going to find a way onto the field. Because of White, many fans seem to forget that Cook was a consensus top 3 RB himself in the 2018 class. He was a clear top 50 overall player and a 5-star according to Rivals.com. Maybe he only touches the ball 25-30 times in his freshman year, but I’d be willing to bet 3 or 4 of those will be big plays that could change a game.
