Georgia Football fans could get to see something special from their outside linebackers in 2018. The ‘Wolfpack’ will be on the hunt.

There’s a lot for Georgia Football fans to be excited about in 2018. Coming off their first national championship appearance is over 35 years, the Dawgs still look strong. While they have lost a lot of great leaders, there is no doubt that the talent in Athens has actually improved.

Nowhere is this more obvious than at outside linebacker. Lorenzo Carter and Davin Bellamy will both look to find roles on NFL teams this season. Carter, in particular, has a great chance to do just that with the NY Giants. But while their leadership and experience will be missed, 2018 will be the beginning of a new era for UGA’s ‘Wolfpack’.

The 2018 recruiting class was incredible in a lot of ways. However, what is still somewhat overlooked is just how much the Dawgs loaded up at OLB. They brought in two 5-star players who will both bring something to the team that fans haven’t seen in quite a while. Terrifying pass rushing talent.

These freshmen will join a unit that already has plenty of talent. That starts with a guy who by the end of last year might have actually been Georgia’s best pass rusher in D’Andre Walker. That pass rush could cover for some holes that are opening up elsewhere on the Georgia defense this year.

So who exactly will make up the ‘Wolfpack’ in 2018 and what are they going to be bringing to the UGA program? We’ll start with none other than Walker himself, a guy who has the potential to be the next highly drafted Georgia linebacker.
