Georgia Football: The ‘Wolfpack’ should be even better in 2018

Brenton Cox looks downright scary:

Speaking of a young gun who could learn from Walker. Brenton Cox might be the most terrifying looking player in the 2018 class. That’s saying a lot considering how talented that group is, but it’s also a testament to Cox. There are not many 18 year olds who are built like him and there are even fewer with the burning desire to get to the NFL ASAP.

He already physically looks like a monster and his play of the field is pretty similar. Cox stood out to me on the second unit defense back on G-day. The guy had only been on campus a few months and already, he was kicking butt on the field. He put pressure on Justin Fields several times, sacking him once and his battle against Cade Mays was awesome to watch. That is two men who do not like other human beings very much… At least on the football field.

Cox brings something different to the position group. He’s got more size than the rest and some thing he could see reps at defensive end. I doubt we see that, He’s built perfectly to play OLB in Kirby Smart’s system. He’s explosive for his size and no matter who else is in this group, Cox is going to find a way onto the field. I almost feel sorry for tackles who get tired trying to block Walker and then have Cox coming in for some reps. That’s kind of unfair when you think about it…
