Georgia Football should see many of its prized 2018 recruits arrive on campus over the next week. That means it’s time for some position battles to really kick off.

We’re nearly there Dawg fans. It’s oh so nearly June and you know what that means? That’s right, it’s time for the bulk of the 2018 class to arrive in Athens and join the team! Oh it is going to be fun to see some of these guys get on to campus.

Probably one of the best pieces of news regarding this 2018 class is how few of them are struggling with classes. Last year UGA had 2 highly regarded players in Robert Beal and Devonte Wyatt who pushed it right until the limit due to issues with their grades. Beal arrived at the last minute and Wyatt missed out. Neither was able to contribute to the team in 2017 because of their late arrival although both are now making their presence felt.

That shouldn’t be an issue for this years group. The only player that we’ve heard has any issues with their grades is CB Nadab Joseph. He was a last minute flip from Alabama back on signing day who could compete for a job in the secondary. He’s also expected to arrive in Athens, but it just might be a little later than his fellow classmates. It’s likely he’ll be here before Beal was in 2017.

Next: 95 days to kick-off!!!

But that’s it boys and girls. The other 16 players are all expected to arrive pretty much as soon as June rolls around. I for one cannot wait to see some of these guys get into Athens and start competing for jobs. This 2018 class was historic for Georgia, and the vast majority of it will be arriving soon. Oh yes, it’s enough to get this Dawg fan very excited for the summer…
