What are their weaknesses:

Unsurprisingly, the Governors are not a particularly stout unit on defense. Against UCF last season, you saw the absolute best and worst of their program. The best was that they put up 33 points against UCF. Now that defense wasn’t particularly great but still, that’s pretty impressive. The problem was what happened on the other end. The Knights put up 73 points themselves in an absolute blowout.

McKenzie Milton is a decent QB who did a good job in Scott Frost’s system. However, he should not be completing 24 of 26 passes for 275 yards and 3 TDs. On the very rare occasions where Milton faced semi-decent defenses, his completion % dropped considerably. However, he and the rest of UCF feasted on teams like Austin Peay all season.

The Dawgs should be able to run all over the Governors. Their offensive line has so much size and strength that it’s hard to see them not chewing up yards on the ground. While Nick Chubb and Sony Michel are gone, that shouldn’t stop Georgia. This game was tailor made for Elijah Holyfield and Brian Herrien. Both of them will have an opportunity to really show that they deserve playing time.

Next: Just 94 days to go until the season!

I would also expect to see quite a bit of Justin Fields. The Dawgs will need to give him experience in case an injury hits Jake Fromm. With just those 2 as Qb’s, they need to get Fields ready ASAP. I can see him having some big plays and feasting on this Austin Peay defense when he gets the chance.
