Georgia Football has a big second game of the season when they take on one of their biggest rivals.

So Dawg fans, we’re at game 2. The summer has arrived and you know what that means. That’s right, its time to start doing some 2018 season previews. We’ll be bringing you lots of Georgia Football content over the next 3 months as we build up to what should be a very exciting season.

The Dawgs go into a 2018 season with high expectations. Having reached the national championship game last year, they put together one of the best seasons the team has had in decades. Now they go into this upcoming year with a target on their back. The Dawgs won the SEC East and the conference last year. They will be the team everyone in their division is desperate to beat and that is going to be an adjustment. UGA isn’t going to be creeping up on anyone this year.

They should also benefit from a schedule that shapes out really nicely for Georgia. The SEC East remains a bit down as Florida and Tennessee continue to rebuild. They also get an LSU team that looks weaker than it has in several years and Auburn will be coming to Athens. Add a very weak out of conference schedule and the Dawgs have little room for error. To make it to the playoff again, the Dawgs will likely have to go undefeated until the SEC Title game.

They will go into the second game of the season and face one of their toughest opponents. South Carolina have taken big steps forward since the arrival of Will Muschamp and were no pushover last year. The game will be away from home and early in the season so many think its a trap game for UGA. So what can the Dawg’s expect from a rival team that is looking to make a statement?
