Georgia Football takes on a second small team in week 3 when they play the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders.

So Dawg fans, we’re at game 3. The summer has arrived and you know what that means. That’s right, its time to start doing some 2018 season previews. We’ll be bringing you lots of Georgia Football content over the next 3 months as we build up to what should be a very exciting season.

The Dawgs go into a 2018 season with high expectations. Having reached the national championship game last year, they put together one of the best seasons the team has had in decades. Now they go into this upcoming year with a target on their back. The Dawgs won the SEC East and the conference last year. They will be the team everyone in their division is desperate to beat and that is going to be an adjustment. UGA isn’t going to be creeping up on anyone this year.

They should also benefit from a schedule that shapes out really nicely for Georgia. The SEC East remains a bit down as Florida and Tennessee continue to rebuild. They also get an LSU team that looks weaker than it has in several years and Auburn will be coming to Athens. Add a very weak out of conference schedule and the Dawgs have little room for error. To make it to the playoff again, the Dawgs will likely have to go undefeated until the SEC Title game.

After the massive game against South Carolina, the Dawgs have their second small team in game 3. Middle Tennessee will offer UGA a week to maybe get ready for their second SEC game. However, the Blue Raiders won’t be a walkover by any means.
