Georgia Bulldogs: What are the Best UGA Podcasts?
2. Dawgnation Daily
Brandon Adams and Dawgnation have managed to do something that nobody else does out there. Put out a podcast every single weekday for Georgia Bulldog fans. Not many schools have a news source that is this dedicated and so we’re pretty lucky in that regard. We’re also very lucky with the quality of guests and content that Adams is able to bring on each day.
Twice a week, Adams welcomes Dawgnation’s recruiting expert Jeff Sentell. For me, Sentell is the best recruiting reporter out there if you’re a Dawg fan. He doesn’t feed people hope on players he’s not hearing good things about and he talks to a whole lot of players. His Tuesdays and Friday podcast remain musts for me, especially because Adams himself is the definition of a UGA homer. He wants ALL THE RECRUITS and that’s a mindset that all of us fans can understand.
When Sentell isn’t on, Adams has guests who also work for Dawgnation. Chip Towers is a great storyteller who gets very involved with all different aspects of Georgia Sports. He’s been covering UGA forever so he brings some great perspective to whats happening in Athens. Mike Johnson won a natty at Alabama and played under Kirby. He brings something different to the show having played in the SEC and not being a UGA guy. Dawgnation have also recruited new reporter Mike Griffin who will likely have his own day on the show as well. Griffin has covered a lot of good football over the years so I’m looking forward to his episodes.
Throw in ‘Eddie the blind squirrel’ and a whole lot of trolling of rival fanbases and you have Dawgnation daily. It’s got a great balance between good content and fun for fans which is what makes it a must for me. The podcast has a title sponsor but isn’t overloaded with adverts. It’s released every morning and you can consume it in a bunch of ways, including watching it live on Facebook.
