1. Glory UGA Podcast

My personal favorite podcast out there might be a surprise to some. There’s a good chance you may never have heard the Glory UGA Podcast seeing as unlike the other 3, it’s not done by a big media company. Instead, it’s just two big UGA fans Tyler and Curtis who put together podcasts and get them out there.

Well, that probably needs to change. If you’re a fan of UGA and you actually like sports, this should be a must listen. These guys dive much deeper into topics than any of the other podcasts and that’s what earns them the top spot. Their ‘scouting the enemy’ series about all of our football opponents is the best thing out there if you want to know about our opponents.

They actually watch film and break it down and you come away knowing what to look for each week. Sounds basic I know, but I’m yet to find anyone else that does it. They delve into the stats as well as schemes to deliver pregame and postgame breakdowns that, for me, are unmatched.

While they are not ‘media guys’ both Tyler and Curtis are local fans who are pretty plugged into the Athens community. They don’t have ‘insider info’ or anything like that on recruits, but they watch film and hear things every now and then. Outside of football, they also look at basketball, baseball, tennis and plenty of other sports because they just like cheering for UGA. It’s pretty cool to hear about teams that for the most part are overlooked by others but tend to be surprisingly good.

So for me, these guys take the top spot. During the football season, nobody is going to deliver smarter, more in-depth information. Outside of it, you’ll probably learn a lot about a bunch of sports you didn’t even know we were good at. They are normally good for 2 episodes a week and I’d highly recommend listening to both.
