Week one of the college football season is behind us. Week two begins this Friday night. NFL football also returns this Thursday and continues this Sunday.

We are now engulfed in the college football season and there’s no turning back now. As always, forget about the TV guides, all the games the Bulldog Nation needs to watch are right here. These are the college football games you need to check out this weekend. But don’t forget about our first place Atlanta Braves, or the debuting 2018 Atlanta Falcons.

Wednesday, September 5 – Friday, September 7

College football doesn’t restart until Friday night. Until then, the Braves and Falcons will have you covered. So “Rise Up” and “Chop On”.

Wed – Atlanta Braves vs. Boston Red Sox: 12:10 p.m., Fox Sports Southeast

Hopefully the Braves can avoid a sweep in game three.

Thur – Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles: 8:20 p.m., NBC

The Falcons look to open up the season on a high note by defeating the defending Super Bowl Champions.

Thur – Atlanta Braves at Arizona Diamondbacks: 9:40 p.m., Fox Sports Southeast

The Braves travel west to play a three-game series with their favorite trading partner. Though I’m certain, Atlanta isn’t Arizona’s favorite.

Fri – SMU Mustangs vs. No. 16 TCU Horned Frogs: 8:00 p.m., ESPN 2

Friday’s lone D1 game features two of the closest rivals in college football. SMU is located in Dallas, TCU is across the metroplex in Fort Worth. But don’t expect a classic rivalry game. The no. 16 Horned Frogs should win their seventh-straight over the Mustangs, and their 22nd in their last 28 meetings. Can you say one-sided?

Frid – Atlanta Braves at Arizona Diamondbacks: 9:40 p.m., Fox Sports South

Saturday, September 8

Unless you’re attending the Georgia versus South Carolina game, under no circumstances should you leave your house for more than 30 minutes. Saturday has some games that you don’t want to miss a minute of.

Kansas State Wildcats vs. No. 21 Mississippi State Bulldogs: 12:00 p.m., ESPN

Mississippi State can prove themselves this Saturday with a road trip to Kansas State. The Wildcats aren’t ranked, but you know coach Bill Snyder will have his team ready. In fact, they might be due for another historic season.

South Florida Bulls vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets: 12:00 p.m., ABC or ESPN2

Last year, Georgia Tech was supposed to lose to Central Florida, but that game got cancelled because of bad weather. This year, the Jackets travel to Tampa to play UCF’s contemporary South Florida. Both won their season openers. Tech hopes they can compete for the ACC title this year, while USF expect to compete for the American Conference Championship. Despite not being a power-five school, USF is probably a stronger program.

No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners vs. UCLA Bruins: 1:00 p.m., Fox

The Sooners hope their National Championship hopes can get a boost this Saturday as they take on Chip Kelley’s UCLA Bruins. How long will it take for Kelly to work his magic in Los Angeles? Is it even possible?

No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs at South Carolina Gamecocks: 3:30 p.m., CBS

The one we’re patiently waiting for. Georgia versus South Carolina. The Gamecocks haven’t been as easy out for the Bulldogs recently. Five of South Carolina’s 18 wins over Georgia have come in the last 11 games. But the Dawgs have won three-straight over Carolina, have Terry Godwin coming back, and will have James Cook rested for the second half.

Texas A&M Aggies vs. No. 2 Clemson Tigers: 7:00 p.m., ESPN

Clemson faces a familiar coach at an unfamiliar school. The Tigers played Jimbo Fisher’s Seminoles eight times, but this is just the fourth time they’ve played Texas A&M. The Tigers are think National Championship. The Aggies hired Fisher think National Championship in a few years.

No. 25 Florida Gators vs. Kentucky Wildcats: 7:30 p.m., SEC Network

New coach, same result? Kentucky hasn’t defeated Florida since the late Cretaceous Period. Is this finally the Wildcats year to defeat the Gators? Florida thinks they can compete for the SEC East Championship. Kentucky might be the team to break their hearts.

Atlanta Braves at Arizona Diamondbacks: 8:10 p.m., Fox Sports South

Hopefully, the Braves will either be going for a series victory or a series sweep Saturday night, but you know how atrocious they’ve been against western division teams (9-18 so far this year)

No. 10 Stanford Cardinal vs. No. 17 USC Trojans: 8:30 p.m., Fox

Stanford and USC begin Pac 12 play with their cross-division rivalry. The Trojans won the last two games, but the Cardinal have dominated with seven wins since 2009. Clay Helton appears to have the USC program turned around, while David Shaw’s have struggled to get over the hump lately.

Next. Georgia should make Atlanta their second home. dark

Arizona State Sun Devils vs. No. 15 Michigan State Spartans: 10:45 p.m., ESPN

If you’re still up, check out Herm Edwards’ Sun Devils as they host Michigan State. Sparty wants to prove that they belong with Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin, they only way to do that is to win, especially 2,000 miles away from home. Arizona State always appears just a step away from being a consistently good program, but they’ve never gotten over the hump. They believe Herm Edwards is their guy.
