The Georgia Football team snuffed out any opposition from the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders this past weekend, here are 5 quick takeaways.

It’s a little late, but I finally had a chance to go back through and rewatch Georgia Football defeat Middle Tennessee yesterday. It was a third dominant win in a row but there wasn’t a huge amount that could be learned. The Dawgs just outclassed an opponent who couldn’t come close to competing with them. That being said, here are five quick takeaways from the game:

UGA has to feel good about their QB’s:

While Georgia might not have a QB controversy, the Dawgs do have two QB’s. Jake Fromm has shown in the first three games that he’s just as good if not even better than last season. He’s been more efficient than last year and he’s led an offense that looks explosive all over the field. Fromm has completed more than 80% of his passes and thrown six touchdowns through three games. There are going to be some downtimes, but right now, he’s operating at an all-time level in terms of efficiency.

Justin Fields hasn’t looked much worse. Fields had completed 14 of 17 passes, accounted for 3 TD’s and is rushing for nearly 10 yards per carry. He’s only had a limited role, but Fields just makes the game look so easy when he’s out there. He’s a natural. While a lot of reporters love a good controversy, this situation is looking pretty good for Georgia. Fromm has raised his level of play because he has Fields nipping at his heels. Fields has stepped in and looked much better than an average freshman because he’s got Fromm to work with.

Georgia looks set at the QB position for the next few years with these guys in town. I can’t remember the last time I saw a team with two players who look this comfortable at the QB position and are this young. I don’t know what the locker room dynamics are, but if Georgia can keep winning, there’s a great chance that they can balance these two players for the next few seasons. If Fromm keeps playing this well, the NFL is going to come calling after his junior year. Then Fields will have the chance too show that he to should be a very high draft pick.

I don’t think you can find a school out there with a better QB situation than UGA right now. If both guys can continue to embrace being team players, it’s hard to see how the Dawgs don’t become a perennial powerhouse.
