Georgia Football is now 4-0 after grinding out a 43-29 win on the road over Missouri. How will the Dawgs fare against Tennessee at home this weekend?

Georgia Football finally gets the opportunity to play an SEC game at home this weekend against Tennessee. The Dawgs are 2-0 in SEC play so far and remain in full control of the SEC East.

The Tennessee Volunteers will travel to Athens on Saturday to play the Dawgs in what’s expected to be a lopsided SEC East battle. The Vols are 2-2 this season with those two wins coming over ETSU and UTEP. The team’s two losses were blowouts against West Virginia and Florida.

Georgia is heavily favored in this game. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if this is the most Georgia has ever been favored over Tennessee and rightfully so. Georgia sits ranked 2nd in the AP poll and has scored over 40 points in every game leading to a 4-0 record while the Volunteers are struggling in the early stages of the Jeremy Pruitt era.

Georgia will be without at least two key players in this game. Right guard Ben Cleveland will be out at least a month with a fractured leg and wide receiver Tyler Simmons will be out for an unspecified amount of time with a shoulder injury. Luckily, Georgia has so much depth at both of those position groups that the team will be able to plug some players into those spots and not miss a beat.

The performance last week against Missouri, although a win by two touchdowns, was not up to Kirby Smart’s standards. At times Georgia looked sloppy and undisciplined, particularly on defense. I expect after a tough week of practice this week that the players are going to come out angry and ready to make a statement against Tennessee. This game could be well over by halftime.

Expect a heavy commitment to running the football by the Dawgs early in this game. Once that happens, Jake Fromm will be able to do whatever he wants in the passing game. Justin Fields should get more snaps at quarterback in this game than he did last week so that will be something to watch as well. The Dawgs will win this game in a blowout.

Prediction: Georgia 48, Tennessee 10

Georgia and Tennessee kickoff on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. (ET) on CBS.
