Georgia Football is now 6-0 this season and the team will face its toughest test yet of the 2018 season against LSU on the road this weekend. Can the Dawgs escape Baton Rouge with a win?

Georgia football will travel to LSU this weekend for one of the SEC’s most anticipated match-ups of the 2018 season. Unfortunately, the hype surrounding this game will be less than some thought it would be because LSU is coming off a loss against Florida over the weekend.

LSU will be the best team Georgia has faced in the 2018 season. Baton Rouge is an extremely tough place to play so there are rumblings that the Dawgs could be upset in this game by the Tigers.

Despite being 5-1 this season, LSU was exposed in the team’s loss to Florida last week. Quarterback Joe Burrow was pressured the entire game as his offensive line simply couldn’t protect him against Florida’s defense. Expect Mel Tucker to dial up some pressure in this game to rattle Burrow just like the Gators did.

This is the game where I truly believe Georgia is going to fully open the playbook on offense. Due to facing vastly inferior opponents for most of the season, the Dawgs haven’t needed to be very creative on offense. Against LSU, Georgia’s offense can’t afford to be predictable or the game could spiral out of control.

This game will be closer than some might think. The Tigers have a very talented defense and have some athletic playmakers on offense. However, I think Georgia has the clear advantage in all three areas of the game: offense, defense, and special teams. The Tigers will keep this game close for awhile but the Dawgs will leave Baton Rouge with a 7-0 record.

Prediction: Georgia 31, LSU 21

Georgia and LSU play on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. (ET) on CBS.
