Georgia Football takes on LSU tomorrow in a game that could define the Dawgs season. Here are a few UGA players that need to step up big in the game.

Yesterday, Kyle gave you his players to watch this players to watch in the big clash against LSU today. Well I guess I’m just so pumped for today I couldn’t sleep, so here are the players I think Georgia are going to rely on to hopefully carry them to victory in Death Valley:

Isaiah Wilson, Offensive Tackle:

If UGA are going to get the win today, I think the offensive line is going to be key. With Ben Cleveland injured, I think this is a game where the Dawgs are going to need Isaiah Wilson to step up. He’ll be playing with true freshman Cade May’s next to him and so it will be Wilson who is the senior player on the line. It’s worth remembering that Wilson is a redshirted freshman himself. It is no easy task for him to suddenly become a senior player.

At times this season, Wilson has looked fantastic. He has also struggled with quicker pass rushers at some points and that is a concern. The Tigers boast some very impressive pass rushers and Wilson is going to have to step up this week. Mays has had similar problems and the dawgs cannot afford to have a leaky side of the line in this game.

Where Wilson has looked good is in the run game. That’s especially the case as the game goes on and the dawgs get into the second half. Wilson is a massive human being and he’s strong and powerful. This season hes shown impressive fitness and doesn’t seem to fade as the games go on. That’s when the Dawgs seem to run to the right so often in the second half. He’s shown that he can throw people around and also has a bit of a nasty streak.

Wilson and Mays are big, nasty offensive linemen. If they can dominate at the point of attack, UGA are going to be tough to stop. LSUs defense is good, but if the Dawgs can run the ball to the right and control the clock, this game is there for the taking. That’s a lot of pressure for Wilson but its games like this where former 5-star freaks are supposed to step up and play to their potential.
