Riley Ridley, Wide Receiver:

Mecole Hardman has already shown this year that he’s the biggest weapon in this Georgia offense. That’s why I would expect LSU to put Greedy Williams on Hardman and do their best to try and shut him down. If Hardman has a slow week. it’s going to be up to other receivers to step up and Ridley is the guy I think is going to be most important.

Ridley has stepped into the role that Javon Wims held last season. He’s the guy Jake Fromm seems to always throw to when he needs a first down on the outside. The biggest body receiver of UGA’s starters, Ridley has repeatedly shown that hes able to go up above CBs and make tough catches. That’s a skillset that Georgia will likely need at big moments during this game.

Ridley has caught 4 touchdowns this season and his physical style of play is important in the red zone. This is the sort of game where touchdowns really matter and the Dawgs need to not settle for field goals if they can. Ridley will be the likely target in those back shoulder throws that Jake Fromm loves to make.

The fact that Ridley is the go to guy on third downs and in the red zone is why I think hes so important today. If LSU shut him down, I do have some concerns about UGAs ability to score enough points and move the ball. If he has a big game, it will very likely be in a comfortable UGA victory.
