Isaiah Wilson, OT:

If Georgia is going to grind the running game the way Kirby Smart wants, a lot of going to fall on the offensive line. The right side, in particular, is going to be important and that’s where Wilson comes in. He’s got to go out there and dominate at the point of attack like we know that he can. Yes, Florida has talented pass rushers and defensive linemen. However, nobody on that side of the field has the raw physical ability that Wilson does and that’s why he’s so important in this game.

Wilson has struggled at times in pass coverage. We saw that against LSU where on some plays, he was destroyed by the Tigers speed rushers. He’s got to be better this weekend because when Todd Grantham does his emotional blitzes, Jake Fromm could make big plays if given enough time. Wilson has to hold up just long enough to give Fromm a chance to get the ball out and keep the defender’s hands down to prevent batted balls.

If Wilson can do that, we know that he and Cade Mays can dominate in the run game on the right side of the line. Those guys are massive maulers who don’t particularly like other human beings on the football field. The Dawgs will need both of them to attack Florida’s defensive linemen in the running game and wear them down. That should slow down the pass rush and also mentally challenge them. Nobody want’s a guy who is 6ft7 and 350lbs to keep landing on them.

This is a huge game for the entire of Georgia’s offensive line. The lines of scrimmage will decide who gives their skill players the time to go out and win this game. If Wilson can take a step up this game, then there is a very good chance the Dawgs O-line takes this game away from Florida.
