Elijah Holyfield and D’Andre Swift

After going away from the run two weeks ago at LSU, we all knew Elijah Holyfield and D’Andre Swift would be used liberally throughout the Florida game. The Gators certainly knew and they still couldn’t get the job done.

Swift finally reached 100 yards in a game for the first time in his career. He ended with 104 yards on 12 carries. He broke 100 yards with a 33-yard, nail in the coffin touchdown in the fourth quarter. He also caught two passes for 13 yards.

Holyfield wore the Gator defense to the bone with 71 yards on 20 carries. He touched the ball eight times in the first quarter, but only once in the second when Georgia’s offense began to struggle. There was probably a discussion at halftime about Holyfield needing to get more carries in the second half.

Isaac Nauta

You wanted Isaac Nauta, you got Isaac Nauta. A lot of him on the last drive of the first half. He caught four-straight passes for 66 yards on that last drive to move Georgia’s offense from the 25-yard-line, all the way to the Gators’ nine-yard-line with nine seconds left on the clock. Georgia settled for a field goal even with time on the clock. But Nauta’s great ending to the first half allowed Georgia to extend their lead to 13-7 at halftime. Nauta caught one more pass later in the game to finish with 73 yards.
