Offensive efficiency:

Last but not least, let’s beat Snell with the offense, shall we? There is no better way of stopping an offense like Kentucky than keeping them off the field and behind on the scoreboard. If Georgia can have the long and efficient drives that they put together at the beginning and end of the Florida game, then they should be able to put real pressure on Kentucky’s offense.

The Wildcats are not set up to play from behind and throw the ball. If they aren’t in control of the clock, things can get dicey for them pretty quickly. If the Dawgs can play efficient football and get up two scores, they will force Kentucky to actually go away from Snell and try and score more quickly. That’s exactly what Kirby Smart wants to see and so that’s what he’s going to want from his offense.

A lot depends on Jake Fromm and his offense staying turnover-free. Playing away from home in the biggest game in Kentucky football history, they need to take the crowd out of the game. we saw against LSU how mistakes can make an environment even more hostile and the game more difficult. If Fromm protects the football and the Dawgs move the ball, Kentucky’s one-dimensional offense should start to sputter.

That isn’t going to be easy. The Wildcats have one of the best defenses in the SEC after all. But games like this are why Kirby Smart has built the team he has. He’s got the big offensive linemen who should be able to run the ball down Kentucky’s throats and the passing game to keep the offense balanced. Nothing about stopping one of the best running backs in the country is supposed to be easy. However, if the Dawgs play their game, they should be able to do just that and secure a second division title in two years.
