Georgia Football takes on Kentucky tomorrow in the biggest game of the season, here are some players that the Dawgs need to step up and get the win.

Tomorrow, the Dawgs face what right now if their biggest games of the season. They head into a hostile environment in Kentucky to take on a Wildcat team that believes that they are a team of destiny, that this is their year. If Georgia is going to stop that from being the case and win their second straight SEC title, they’ll need these key players to step up and help them get the win.

D’Andre Walker:

I think Walker is going to be really important this week. Georgia needs to set the edge to force Benny Snell inside this weekend. I know that part of UGA’s defense is a little squishy, but I worry more about the space that’s available on the outside. Walker and his fellow OLB’s will be the players who need to be disciplined and stop that from happening. If they do, then they should be able to hold Kentucky’s offense in check for this game.

Julian Rochester:

With Jordan Davis now taking the nose tackle role, Rochester is getting more reps at defensive tackle. He started there last week ahead of Tyler Clark and recorded his first sack of the year. Rewatching the game, I thought that Rochester had his best game of the season. The Dawgs need him to be even better this week to help take down Snell. Rochester and Tyler Clark will be crucial to creating disruption on that line and fierce Snell to slow down and get bogged down. Another big performance from these guys could really change the way many expect this game playing out.

JR Reed:

Reed has had a few difficult moments over the past few weeks. That’s been particularly true in coverage where he’s had several big touchdowns thrown over him. I don’t expect that to happen this week because Kentucky plays right into Reed’s strength. Run support. The Wildcats run the ball a lot which means that Reed should find himself playing in the box more often than not. That’s where he’s at his best and his sure tackling should really help UGA’s leaky linebacking corp. That strength makes him one of the most important players for Georgia going into this game.

Elijah Holyfield:

If Georgia is going to win this game, they need to score points. Kentucky is not a great offense but they are very good on defense. They do however have some issues on the inside just like Georgia. Holyfield is a physical runner who can grind out games and control the clock if given the right opportunities. I really think that this is another game where he needs 20 carries again. If he gets that, it’s a sign that UGA is moving the ball on the ground and by doing that, Georgia can take the game away from the Wildcats.

Jake Fromm:

Next. How the Dawgs can shut down Benny Snell?. dark

Last but not least if Fromm. Kentucky’s defense is a tad squishy on the outside but they also could struggle with Georgia’s passing game. I don’t doubt that UGA will want to run the ball a lot in this game but there will be times where Fromm will need to make big passes. Playing with balance like we saw last week will be the critical mission for Jim Chaney and his offensive game plan this week. It, therefore, falls on Fromm to once again be at his best and protect the football. If Georgia can prevent turnovers and control the clock, this game could end up being much more one sided than many seem to think.
