Georgia Football will play Kentucky for the SEC East division crown on Saturday. Can the Dawgs win the division for the second straight season?

Tomorrow’s game in Lexington has been described by some as the biggest game in Kentucky football history. While this game is important to the Georgia Football program as well, the Dawgs have certainly played on bigger stages than this.

Kentucky has been an interesting team to watch this season. The Wildcats have been doubted by many each and every week this season but have done enough to put the team in a position to play for an SEC East championship.

For Georgia, this game is going to be just business as usual. Many players on this team have played for a national championship so the environment and circumstances in Lexington on Saturday will not be too much for the Dawgs to handle.

The key to a Georgia victory is simple: if the Dawgs can contain Kentucky running back Benny Snell, then we’ll see Georgia playing in the SEC Championship game in early December. Of course, Georgia also has to perform well on offense in this game but stopping Snell has to be the team’s number one focus in order to get the victory.

I expect this game to be similar to Georgia’s game against Florida last weekend. The game will be close early on as both teams try to establish the run and figure out each other’s defenses. But once Georgia gets going, Kentucky simply won’t be able to hang with the Dawgs.

Georgia will begin to pull away in the second half and win this game easily. The Dawgs will score a late touchdown that will ultimately be the dagger in Kentucky’s coffin. Kirby Smart will take his team to the SEC Championship for the second time in three seasons and set the Dawgs up with a chance to get back to the College Football Playoff.

Next. Can the Dawgs lock down Benny Snell. dark

Prediction: Georgia 33, Kentucky 17

Georgia and Kentucky play on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. (ET) on CBS.
