J.J. Holloman and Riley Ridley

Holyfield and Swift isn’t the only playmaking duo in Georgia, the wide receiver tandem of Jeremiah Holloman and Riley Ridley is growing into one of the best in the SEC. Holloman in particular is a budding superstar. After only making one catch in 2017, and starting 2018 slowly outside of a good game against Middle Tennessee and a big play at Missouri, Holloman is now a starting wide out and one of Fromm’s favorite targets. He has eight catches in the last two games for 87 yards.

Ridley, as a junior, is finally emerging as a constant threat. He’s shown signs of greatness-to-come throughout his underclassmen years, and he really excelled early on this year. Now nine games into 2018, he’s a constant in Georgia’s offense. Ridley is simply reliable.

Trey Hill and Kendall Baker

It’s not every week that I mention offensive linemen individually on these lists, but given the circumstances, I had to. Trey Hill was put into a tough spot taking over for Lamont Gaillard at center. There might not be any bigger shoes to fill in the SEC at center. But outside one bad snap, Hill played phenomenal. At times, he looked just as dominant as Gaillard.

Later in the game, Cade Mays went down with an arm injury. Instead of putting in former starter Ben Cleveland, who did dress out, Kirby Smart instead took a chance on Kendall Baker, who Cleveland replaced as a starter last year. Baker had a solid second half, allowing coaches to maintain the run heavy game plan while ensuring Cleveland can return to 100-percent.

Their performances were a real testament to both the fantastic offensive line recruiting done by Smart and his staff, and also to the coaching by Sam Pittman. He continues to prove why he’s the best offensive line coach in America. There’s just so much high-quality depth, it’s unbelievable.
