Adam Anderson, OLB:

At some point, Adam Anderson is going to be the next great OLB for Georgia. He’s the next in the line of the lines of Leonard Floyd, Jordan Jenkins and Lorenzo Carter. The guy is just a flat out freak and to be honest, he’s got the talent to be better than all of them. The light is starting to come on for him as well and that is pretty terrifying if your an opponent.

Anderson’s quickness and his burst if insane. When you add that to an incredible sense of balance and flexibility that enables him to get around offensive tackles with ease, it’s pretty clear that this is a guy who could become a top level pass rusher. He’s still a work in progress and he needs to put on some weight to stay on the field more. But right now, he might already be the best pass rusher on this team.

I know that’s saying a lot for a freshmen who only has 1.5 sacks this season, but he’s just got the sort of moves that no other player has. He’s seeing the field more and more on passing downs and he’s hunting QBs. I fully expect him to have an important role in trying to stop Tua in Atlanta. Hopefully he’s ready for the challenge.

Jordan Davis, DT:

Last but not least is Jordan Davis. Of all of the freshmen playing right now, none of them are more important than Davis. He’s become the starter at nose tackle and every game he gets a little bit better. The man mountain had his first half sack this weekend and he’s destroying more experiences players every week. I still can’t believe this guy was one of the lowest ranked players in the 2018 class. He looks like an elite player already.

The rise of Davis is a reminder that recruiting is not an exact science. What really matters for these kids when they get onto campus is their development. Georgia has a very good coaching staff and we’re starting to see their hard work play off with their players. The Dawgs have an incredibly young team and every single week, they’re getting better. Davis looks like a man among boys already on the defensive line and that’s a credit to him and DL coach Tray Scott. It’s going to be so exciting to see just how good he can become as his career in Athens continues.
