Deangelo Gibbs saga continues

Just when we all thought the saga with Deangelo Gibbs was over last summer, here we go again. Just like last year, he’s not taking spring classes according to Dawgs247. Though his absense was dismissed last year when he returned to the team. But the former four-star recruit, ranked no. 49 overall by 247Sports back in 2017 is yet to earn a role on the team.

Gibbs is also in the transfer portal and he has until January 15 to enroll in classes at UGA. So Gibbs’ future with the team will likely be made up within the next week. If he doesn’t transfer, he’ll have to enroll because he won’t have enough college credits to play on the team.

Hopefully Gibbs stays, returns to class and works hard in the spring. He’s a talented player who can be a great safety for the Dawgs if he can earn the playing time. But he’s yet to live up to his potential in Athens.
