Tray Bishop enters transfer portal

Another gem of the 2017 class, Tray Bishop may soon transfer from Georgia after two years and not much playing time. 247Sports Composite was high on Bishop in 2017 when they ranked him no. 153 overall and no. 20 out of cornerbacks. But he was surpassed by fellow 2017 signee Eric Stokes (who ranked way below Bishop) and 2018 signee Tyson Campbell. Rising senior Tyrique McGhee seems to have the star position locked down for 2019 as well.

Bishop’s time at Georgia has been a disappointment for more than just his lack of playing time. Last summer, a female UGA student reported that Bishop allegedly filmed a sexual act with her without her knowing. The ongoing legal issues Bishop has dealt with played a part in him never appearing in a game.

With those legal issues and other players continuing to surpass him on the depth chart, Bishop most likely isn’t coming back to Georgia in 2019.
