The the 2019 recruiting class near complete, Georgia football is turning its attention to 2020 and one of the top prospects is the no. 10 ranked running back Seth McGowan.

With 23 signees in the 2019 recruiting class and National Signing Day in less than two weeks , it’s about time for Georgia football to set all of their attention on 2020. One of Georgia’s biggest 2020 targets, Seth McGowan, visited the campus this past weekend and he thanks head coach Kirby Smart and running backs coach Dell McGee for giving him a phenomenal experience.

247Sports Composite ranks McGowan the no. 10 running back in the nation and the no. 109 player overall. The Mequite, Texas native also stands at no. 16 among Lone Star State talent. Georgia offered him a scholarship on September 11. McGowan entered the 2020 rankings at no. 209 in early 2018. He’s climbed 100 spaces since the inception of the 2020 rankings.

With Brian Herrien and [most likely] D’Andre Swift leaving Georgia after the 2019 season, the Bulldogs are in the market for a top-notch running back in the next recruiting class. Besides them, the Dawgs have sophomore James Cook who is coming off an at times impressive freshmen year; redshirt freshman Zamir White, coming off a torn ACL that kept him off the field last year; and incoming freshman Kenny McIntosh, the no. 11 running back of 2019 according to 247Sports Composite.

While that’s a strong group, and will should certainly be enough for the 2020 season, the coaches are going to want a solid fourth running back and will want to constantly reload and never rebuild in the backfield. That’s why they’re going to pursue McGowan ferociously. And if this recent visit is any indication, the Georgia coaches are already on the rack track in his recruiting.

But McGowan is far from the only running back the Georgia coaches are interested in. Kendall Milton (Five-star; no. 11 overall; no. 2 running back), MarShawn Lloyd (Five-star; no. 23 overall; no. 4 running back), and Tank Bigsby (Four-star; no. 39 overall; no. 7 running back) are all players with high interest in the Bulldogs.
