Final rankings of all of the Division I-FBS recruiters came out recently. Georgia football had three coaches in the top 20.

247Sports recently released the rankings of the recruiters at all colleges at the NCAA Division I-FBS level. Georgia football didn’t have the no. 1 overall recruiter, but three did crack the top 20, with inside linebackers coach Glenn Schumann ranking the highest at no. 5.

Schumann served as the primary recruiter for no. 1 overall prospect Nolan Smith, and four-star top-150 recruits Rian Davis and Trezman Marshall. He also served as the secondary recruiter for five star’s Nakobe Dean, Travon Walker and Clay Webb.

Four of those players come from outside the state of Georgia, so Schumann has done a great job expanding Georgia’s brand into other states. Schumann helped sign Dean from Horn Lake, Ms, a suburb of Memphis, Tn on the northwest corner of the Magnolia State. Smith and Davis are from central Florida. And Webb hails from Oxford, Ala, just north of Talladega. The miles of travel Schumann have were well spent in the 2019 class. All six of those recruits have 247Sports Composite ratings higher than the class of 2019’s average.

Behind Schumann at no. 11 overall is James Coley, the quarterback coach and new offensive coordinator. Coley was the primary recruiter for the no. 5 wide receiver Dominick Blaylock and the no. 3 cornerback Tyrique Stevenson. He also helped sign five-star no. 4 WR George Pickens and no. 9 athlete Makiya Tongue.

Rounding out the top 20 is defensive line coach Tray Scott at no. 16. He was the primary recruiter for Walker, as well as other defensive linemen Bill Norton, Zion Logue, Tymon Mitchell and Tramel Walthour.
