Georgia football has a big time leader on its offensive line in Bog Ben Cleveland and the team will benefit from his return to health.

Georgia football missed Ben Cleveland last season. At the start of the season, the big guard was looking like he was going to have an All-SEC calibre season but a broken leg derailed his year. He was able to return but sprained his opposite ankle and just never seemed to quite have the confidence that he had before. Worrying about your lower body will do that to an offensive lineman.

But fast forward to the offseason and Big Ben is back at it in training and I don’t doubt that hes going to be back to his best. His absence saw freshmen Cade Mays and Trey Hill step up and become serious candidates for the starting job in 2019. I expect both guys to seriously push him and others for positions this season but if Cleveland is back healthy, I think hes going to be the guy again.

The thought of him and Isaiah Wilson who got better and better last season holding down one side of the offensive line makes me giddy. That’s two, downright nasty, terrifying and huge human beings. Cleveland is considered the strongest guy on the team bar none. We’ve seen what he and Wilson can do and I can’t wait to see them play together once again next season.

I personally think that UGAs offensive line could be the best in the country next year. It might be the best we have ever seen in Athens when you look at all the talent it has arrayed. If that happens, I fully expect Cleveland to be a leader of that group and a heck of a player. Hes been that kind of guy for over a year now and I dont see that stopping anytime soon.
