Georgia Football: NFL Draft projections for Dawgs post combine
Terry Godwin
Scouting Report: Godwin isn’t great at any one thing, but he does virtually everything well. He’s a good route runner and can work inside or outside. He has nice soft hands and has shown the ability to make hands catches away from his body. He has nice speed and can be very quick and elusive in the open field. He is great after the catch and has big play ability. He has also shown the ability to high point the ball and make contested grabs,
Godwin is a little quicker than fast, which was highlighted by his unofficial 4.5 40 time at the combine. He still has plenty of game speed and has shown the ability to get behind corners. His biggest problem is on the line of scrimmage. If corners are able to get their hands on him early, they can completely throw his entire route off. Working on his press-release is the one thing he can do to become the best receiver he can be at the next level.
NFL Outlook: Godwin has the ability to be a fantastic slot receiver on the next level. His measurables and lack of true track star speed are holding him back from being drafted higher, but the may end up being one of the better receivers in this class.
NFL Comparison: Nelson Agholor
Draft Projection: Rounds 4-5
