Jonathan Ledbetter

Scouting Report: A very productive and disruptive player in college. Ledbetter is very violent, especially with his hands. As a pass rusher, his swim move is his best option. He is also capable of generating a good amount of power due to his frame and pad level. He is also a very capable bull rusher as well.

At 277 pounds, he has a very intriguing frame. He doesn’t have the burst, speed, or bend to consistently come off the edge as a pass rusher. He can get to the quarterback, but it’s going to take him awhile. Tackles won’t have to worry about him beating them to the edge. He’s definitely a bit of a tweener.

NFL Outlook: Ledbetter’s fit in an NFL defense is not immediately obvious. In a 4-3, he is probably best suited as an interior rusher. He may be able to play outside in a 3-4. His best bet may be as a rotational interior pass rusher in a 4-3 defense in the NFL.

NFL Comparison: Courtney Upshaw

Draft Projection: Rounds 5-7
