Georgia Football adds member number six to its 2020 class with the addition of four-star cornerback Jalen Kimber.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, with the latest addition, Georgia football now has the No. 9 overall recruiting class.

The latest pickup is a four-star from Arlington, Texas, Jalen Kimber. He is a 6-1.5 180-pound cornerback. According to the 2020 247Sports 247Sports Composite rankings, Kimber ranks as the No. 16 CB and the No. 32 player in Texas.

Kimber visited the Dawgs back in March and since then has been someone I have kept an eye out for in regards to pledging to Georgia.

He announced 247Sports and the publication released this statement in the article.

"“Just talking to Coach  Warren and the things they have installed for players and just being there, I felt the most comfortable there,” Kimber told 247Sports. “I just thought that was the right place for me. Since I went down there I just really fell in love with Georgia. Just the style and things about Georgia, I really fell in love with it.”"

This pickup is the first one for recently hired defensive backs coach Charlton Warren, the first of many I am sure.

Kimber chose the Bulldogs over Texas A&M, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, and many other schools. He currently holds 32 offers but found his next home in Athens.

He runs a 4.47 40-yard dash and has great length. Kimber has great eyes on the field and can find the football when it’s thrown his way. He can be physical in press coverage but doesn’t always show that on film. Once he grows into his body some more, he could be another lockdown corner for the Bulldogs.

Kimber joins an already stacked class with five-star offensive tackle Broderick Jones, four-star quarterback Carson Beck, four-star defensive tackles Jamil Burroughs and Nazir Stackhouse, and four-star wideout Justin Robinson.

Georgia currently holds a 94.06 rating per commit. That is a four-star average. With six members in the 2020 class and G-day this Saturday, it wouldn’t surprise me to see one or two more make an announcement.

If Dawg Nation shows up for another 93K Day, it’ll only help the recruiting train out even more. Look for another commitment by the end of the weekend, if not next week.
