Georgia softball found out where it’s headed for the 2019 NCAA Tournament.

Georgia softball will be the No. 2 seed in the Minneapolis Regional for the 2019 NCAA Tournament. No. 7 Minnesota will host the Regional.

The other two teams in the regional are Drake and North Dakota State. Play begins on May 17.

2019 will be the 18th-consecutive appearance for Georgia. The Bulldogs look to make a run for its fifth Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City.

Georgia holds a 67-37 record in postseason play. The Bulldogs have also advanced to 10 Super Regionals in the history of the program.

Last time the Bulldogs were in a Super Regional was last season when Georgia hosted the regional and super regional and won both.

The Bulldogs edged out Harvard and then Northwestern twice to get to the Super Regional. Then Georgia defeated Tennessee twice to advance to Oklahoma City.

However the trip out west didn’t last as the Bulldogs got eliminated after losing to Florida and then Florida State.

Georgia finished the regular season on a five-game winning streak. The Bulldogs defeated Arkansas in the opening round of the SEC tournament but fell to Alabama 1-2 in eight innings.

The Bulldogs are currently 40-17 overall and 12-12 in the SEC.

Georgia needs its pitching stable to come with ice in their veins. Kylie Bass started 16 games this season and has a 12-4 record. She has a 1.96 ERA.

Then the Dawgs have Mary Wilson Avant, who is the other go-to pitcher. She’s started 15 games this season and holds a 9-4 record and a 2.50 ERA.

Regardless, Georgia has an abundance of good pitching, and any of them can step up when needed. However, the Bulldogs have some hot bats as well.

Alyssa DiCarlo is having an incredible senior season, and she seems to be getting hot at the right moment.

Georgia has a great shot to take this regional with ease. If the Bulldogs can play their game and not let the mental mistakes happen, this team can make it to another Super Regional.

The Bulldogs take on Drake for the first game of the Minneapolis regional on Friday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
