Georgia football added two members to its 2020 class in the past week. However, the Bulldogs are far from done.

Georgia football currently has nine members for 2020. According to 247Sports, the Bulldogs rank as the No. 5 overall, No. 3 SEC  class, and have a 94.4 average rating per prospect.

The latest to pull the trigger was 4-star offensive tackle, Tate Ratledge on May 13. He chose Georgia over Tennessee and became the Bulldogs third offensive linemen commitment for the 2020 class. He joins Broderick Jones and 4-star Akinola Ogunbiyi.

Ratledge ranks as the No. 39 overall player, the No. 5 OT and the No. 6 Georgia prospect.

Before him, 5-star linebacker Mekhail Sherman committed on May 9th.  Sherman is the No. 11 overall player, the No. 2 OLB, and the No. 1 player in D.C.

He is the Bulldogs second 5-star of the class joining  Jones.

The remaining class includes 4-star quarterback Carson Beck, 4-star cornerback Jalen Kimber, 4-star defensive tackles  Nazir Stackhouse and Jamil Burroughs, and 4-star wideout Justin Robinson.

Georgia’s recruiting train has started to heat up, and it’s just getting started. How many 5-stars will Georgia sign this class? Who’s next for the Bulldogs?

Here are three 5-stars that could pull the trigger before the end of the summer and become Dawgs.

Arik Gilbert

Arik Gilbert is a 5-star athlete from Marietta, Georgia. On 247Sports he ranks as the No. 10 overall player, the No. 1 ATH and the No. 2 prospect in Georgia. He wants to play tight end at the next level, and at 6-6.5 and 245-pounds he will be a big target for Fromm or whoever the quarterback may be next year.

Gilbert has liked Georgia for a while, but Tennessee is a team to watch out for because teammate Harrison Bailey is currently committed to the Vols and pushing for him hard.  Alabama and Oklahoma are two other schools to keep an eye out for as well.

However, at this point, I think it’s a done deal, and he is enjoying the process. I believe Gilbert stays home and becomes a Dawg; in fact, he may pull the trigger on his  May 19 visit.

Marshawn Lloyd

Marshawn Lloyd is a 5-star running back from Hyattsville, Maryland. He’s 5-9 and 206 pounds. According to the latest 247Sports, he is the No. 27 overall, No. 6 RB, and the No. 3 MD prospect.

He runs a 4.51 40-yard dash and holds 23 offers currently. It seems to be Georgia, Maryland, and Penn State in the mix of it for him right now. Lloyd visited Georgia back in January, and I expect him to be back on campus for the May 19th scavenger hunt.

Georgia has publically made it known that the Bulldogs would take two running backs for the 2020 class. Well, I expect that to be two top-ranked running backs, Lloyd being one of those too.

Kelee Ringo

Kelee Ringo is a big guy for a defensive back. At 6-2 and 205 pounds, he is the exact specimen for what head coach Kirby Smart wants in his secondary.

He has been in Athens a few times and will be back in town on May 19th for, you guessed it, the scavenger hunt. That event for the Bulldogs has become a big one as in years past Georgia’s gotten good news from it and has sealed a lot of deals.

Ringo ranks as the No. 9 overall, No. 1 CB and the No. 1 player in Arizona.  It seems to be between Georgia and Texas right now, and as many times as he’s been in Athens, I like the Dawgs odds.

What’s Next for the Dawgs?

Georgia could add 1-2 commitments in the next few weeks and I think at least one of them is one of the above names. The Bulldogs are just getting started on the recruiting trail, and it won’t be long before they’re knocking on Clemson’s doors at the No. 1 spot.
