Georgia football’s past recruiting classes have been pretty phenomenal. We take a look at five talented sophomores who could breakout this football season.

Georgia’s 2019 sophomore class looks primed and ready to start the season. These Dawgs have been chomping at the bit to make their legacy in Georgia football lore.

They now have that opportunity with the holes left by Elijah Holyfield, DeAndre Baker, Riley Ridley, Terry Godwin, Mecole Harman, D’Andre Walker, Lamont Gaillard, Natrez Patrick, and Isaac Nauta.

This 2019 sophomore class is one of the best Georgia has had. They are expected to not only offset the holes created but also take this roster to the next level.

It’s setting up to be quite an exciting time for these young Bulldogs. After a year in Kirby’s program, they are primed and ready. I have always thought that 2019 would be a special year and these guys are a big reason for it.

Georgia’s defense has a lot of talent that hasn’t gotten utilized yet.  I believe that side of the ball is going to look different in 2019.

Especially when it comes to players flying off the edge, Georgia has three or four guys they can send at a quarterback at any given time. One of the most intriguing is Brenton Cox. Can not wait to see how many QBs he drags down this year.

Backing up that pass rush will be a secondary with a couple of cornerbacks that have seen the field, but are looking to make their staple on the defense.

Its time for Tyson Campbell and Eric Stokes to show us that they can continue the stellar play at CB Dawg fans have come to expect. I believe they will do that and even more.

Over on the other side of the ball, you have James Cook and Matt Landers. Cook is 6 points just waiting to happen.

Give him the ball, some room, and watch what he can do. Landers, on the other hand, is a towering target that every quarterback likes to have.  A guy that you can throw the ball up to and just let him go get it.

Here is a more in-depth breakdown of each one of these guys and why I believe they are ready for breakout seasons.
