Isaiah Wilson: Gregor Clegan “The Mountain”
We can’t have the Hound without finding his brother Gregor Clegane or ‘the mountain.’ It didn’t take much deliberation on who the Mountain would be.
At first, it was Ben Cleveland, but then he reminded me of Tormund Giantsbane instead.
I narrowed down on who the Mountain would be to the offensive line because they’re the biggest guys on the team outside of Jordan Davis on the defensive line.
And well, Davis is a big teddy bear and not mean enough to be the Mountain.
Isaiah Wilson ended up the mountain because he’s 6-7 and 340 pounds of man. He protects the right side of the offensive line. Wilson has a personality but fits the mold of the Mountain.
The Mountain was a knight in the series and eventually was Cersei Lannister’s personal bodyguard until the end of the series.
In the beginning seasons, he was a normal man, but the final few seasons, he never said anything, never took off his helmet and well wasn’t human.
One of the best scenes we see the mountain in is him fighting the Viper. It was an epic battle scene and worth watching.
*THIS VIDEO HAS VIOLENCE IN IT PLEASE BE WARNED*
Wilson doesn’t act human on the field sometimes. Half of the time he is manhandling his blockers, and it looks so good and the other half he does just enough to make sure his running back can get by him.
Loyal is the best way to describe the Mountain and Wilson.
The Mountain was much crueler than Wilson will ever be, but the two would fight till death to protect their queen/king.
They will make sure they’re protecting who they’re supposed to, Cersei for the Mountain and Fromm for Wilson.
Now Wilson will forever be the Mountain of the offensive line.
