D’Andre Swift: Khal Drogo

D’Andre Swift reminds me of an older character, Khal Drogo.

Khal Drogo is a powerful king among the Dothraki people. We meet him in the very first episode of the series as Viserys Targaryen essentially sells Daenerys to marry him for his army.

Drogo and Daenerys marry, and well Viserys doesn’t last long. However, Drogo is a strong silent man that loves war and his people. He has a long braid and has never lost a battle.

At first, he and Daenerys don’t get along, but it doesn’t take long for them to fall hard for each other and produce one of the epic loves we see in the series.

So we see two sides of Drogo, the silent killer, someone who shows no mercy and then the tender side and how much he loves his wife when he’s alone with Daenerys. So much he lets her make a decision which ultimately costs him his life.

Swift reminds me more of his war side than his tender side. The running back would go to war on that football field to get positive yards and well he isn’t the loudest person in the room. Swift keeps quiet and does his business.

He quietly worked hard and earned his role-playing behind Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. Swift is a strong and powerful running back, much like Drogo is a strong and mighty warrior.
