Very nasty hate

Two years before Mullen arrived in Starkville, MSU’s Derek Pegues, from Batesville just outside of Oxford, beat Ole Miss with a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown. The following summer, at the I-55 exit nearest Oxford and a mile from Batesville appeared the billboard, Many Happy RETURNS from Bulldog Club Ticket Holders featuring a picture of Pegues.

I think there was a rivalry there, Coach.

Same ol’ same ol’

It’s been going on a while in Mississippi. It’s been going on a while with Georgia football and Florida, too, but Mullen is now at Florida, and Georgia is his target.
