D’Andre Swift

D’Andre Swift touched the ball 195 times last year. He turned that into 1,346 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging just under seven (6.9) yards every time he touched the ball.

Swift has 4.43 speed which helps him elude his pursuers. He also has elite agility, his juke is a nightmare for defenders. He can also catch passes out of the backfield. Swift is the total package.

Swift and Hearst had very similar second years. How similar, well just check this out. Hearst rushed for 968 yards, 9 touchdowns, and averaged 6.3 yards per carry. Swift rushed for 1049 yards, 10 touchdowns, and averaged 6.4 yards per carry.

Hearst had 1145 yards from scrimmage while Swift had 1346. Swift has shown himself to be just as dynamic as the former legend.

light. Must Read. D’Andre Swift can pound his way to Georgia Football’s third Heisman

I believe, like Hearst, Swift’s junior season will be his best season yet.

If he could get around 250 touches, I could see Swift ending the year with around 1725 total yards and 16 touchdowns. That kind of season would mirror Hearst’s, third in Heisman voting, 1992 season.

It could be a very special year for Swift and even a historical one for him and the Bulldogs.

Swift should get all the carries he can handle to start the year. Zamir White is coming off his second knee injury and should be brought along slowly. If Swift can stay healthy, he has a situation ahead of him that sets him up for a huge season.

I expect him to take full advantage and remind people why he truly is the best running back in college football.
