Nakobe Dean

Nakobe Dean stands 6-0 220 pounds. According to 247Sports Composite, he is a 5-star athlete.

Dean is a fluid and instinctive linebacker. He gets downhill in a hurry. When he sees something, he attacks, and quickly. Dean had a combined 320 tackles between his junior and senior years in high school.

That is even more amazing seeing as how he just began playing the game in the 9th grade.

Richard LeCounte III led the Bulldogs in tackles last year with 74. It’s never a good thing when your safety leads the team in tackles, no matter who they are. That means you are allowing way too much penetration into your defense.

I believe Dean will fix this problem. Dean reminds me a lot of Roquan Smith and Georgia missed having a guy like that on defense last year.

I expect the true freshman to start day one. I do not see anyone on the current roster who can challenge him there.

Dean will bring a spark to Georgia’s defense and take them to the next level. Not only will he improve Georgia’s defense, but I believe he will be one of the best linebackers in the country.

What can we expect from Dean this year as far as production? Looking at his last two season in high school I would be willing to bet we’ll see some very high numbers.

I expect Dean to have between 90-100 tackles, yes, as a freshman. I think he is also capable of throwing in five sacks and three pass deflections. He may even mess around and get ten tackles for loss.
