Three Potential Running backs for Georgia Football’s 2020 class
Zach Evans
Zach Evans is one of the top ten players in the country and Georgia made his short list.
According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 6 overall, the No. 1 running back, the No.1 prospect out of Texas and the No. 34 all-time player.
Evans is an incredible specimen and the fact that the Bulldogs made the short list surprised a lot of people. On May 28, he released his top five schools with Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma and Georgia making the cut.
With him being a Texas kid, having no Lone Star state schools in his final five says a lot about what he wants to do with his college career. He picked five schools known to have incredible running backs.
Evans is currently on a visit to LSU this weekend before that he visited Alabama on June 3, Ole Miss on March 30 and Texas A&M on March 22.
He visited Athens on March 4, and I expect him to make a trip to the Classic City sooner than later. The Bulldogs aren’t shy letting kids know they’re taking two running backs and I like how he compliments Milton.
Evans runs a 4.51 40-yard dash and has incredible top-end speed.
He is 5-11 and 200 pounds. At that size, he could add one some weight just to bulk up some for the college level, but overall he is an almost perfect size for a running back.
Evans can do whatever you ask of him. He can pound it down peoples throat, and he can also take it and outrun anyone. There isn’t much the back cannot do.
I like where Georgia sits right now and think that Alabama is the biggest competition with him. The Bulldogs need to sell the hell out of this program and use being the next Nick Chubb/Sony Michel with Milton. Because these two could be the next great duo at Georgia.
