Todd Gurley 100-yard Kick off Return against Clemson

No. 5 on our list is one of my favorite calls of all time with Todd Gurley taking it to the house against Clemson with a  100-yard kickoff return.

Georgia was down 21-0 against the Tigers in the middle of the second quarter when the Tigers kicked it off. Gurley caught in at least five-yards deep in the endzone, but that didn’t phase him one bit.

Howard’s excitement gives you chills and hearing the crowd roar louder and louder the further he gets down the field does as well. However, Howard’s enthusiasm makes the call as the TV broadcast version doesn’t do it justice.

“Gurley going to take it halfway deep in the endzone, run it out straight ahead 15-20, Gurley needs a block, cuts back 30-40-50- Gurley won’t be caught 40, SAY GOODBYE! GO TODD, GO! 15-10-5 100 yard TOUCHDOWN!”

This game was opening day of the 2014 football season and a game the Dawgs had circled. The year before, Clemson won 38-35 in Death Valley and gave the then No. 5 Georgia team a 0-1 start.

Georgia destroyed Clemson 45-21 and sent the Tigers home to Death Valley with their tails between their legs crying and for that, we have this call to enjoy.
