Sedrick Van Pran

Sedrick Van Pran is a 4-star center from New Orleans, Louisiana that stands at 6-4 and 305 pounds.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Van Pran ranks as the No. 106 overall player, No. 3 C, and the No.3 prospect out of Louisiana.

For a long time, most didn’t know where he would end up in college.

He visited Texas A&M on June 21 for an official visit, Oklahoma got an official visit from him on April 12, and he attended Alabama’s Junior Day on Feb. 16. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him on campus before the dead period as well, and if he is on campus, that’s HUGE for the Dawgs.

On June 6, Van Pran posted this tweet.

I’m not sure if he’s committing to his school of choice on July 6 or just taking a social media break, but it could mean good news for the Bulldogs.

Van Pran is always on social media posting how proud he is of his teammates, and that makes me happy. He is a solid teammate and a humble one at that. Van Pran doesn’t seem obsessed with the rankings or anything like that he wants to make the best decision for himself and that’s admirable.

While on 247Sports all the crystal balls point to Georgia, he could surprise us all and choose somewhere else. However, if I had to guess, I’ll go along with the guys at 247Sports and pick the Dawgs.

Van Pran possesses incredible leadership skills, and that’s something we’re going to need at the center position and in general on the team. I’m excited to see how he continues to develop, and in my opinion, this is one of the two off this list that’ll eventually be a Dawg.
