Georgia football prospect Kelee Ringo made scouts and fans drool after his performance at the 2019 Rivals 5-Star Challenge at Mercedes Benz Stadium on June 25.

While Kelee Ringo is already a significant target for Georgia football, he proved how valuable he would be for a team in the Rivals 5-Star Challenge.

Georgia football currently has 14 members in its 2020 recruiting class with one cornerback committed. Jalen Kimber is the lone secondary player so far in the 2020 class, and after the way, Ringo put on a show, he was in his ear to commit to the Dawgs.

Ringo’s entire performance that made me drool.

For the second-straight year, Ringo took home the Fastest Man Championship for a 4.36 40-yard dash. Yes, you read that correctly, a 5-star cornerback who is 6-2 and 205 pounds was that insanely fast.

Then he took on Georgia-commit Marcus Rosemy on for a one-on-one drill and boy do I want to see these two go head-to-head in future practices, and I’m sure the Georgia coaches do as well.

His performance showed just how good he would be for the college he attends. Ringo has a high ceiling and with the right development, he will be a deadly cornerback in college and eventually the NFL.

I’m sure after watching the videos from June 25, head coach Kirby Smart and defensive backs coach Charlton Warren drooled over it too.

The Bulldogs need a guy like Ringo for the secondary because he isn’t your typical high school defensive back. At the size he is now once he gets in a good nutrition program, he will only get bigger and better.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Ringo ranks as the No. 9 overall 2020 player, No. 1 CB and the No. 1 prospect in Arizona.

Right now, it seems to be a battle between Texas and Georgia for the 5-star. On his 247Sports Profile, the Longhorns and Bulldogs both hold a 43 percent crystal ball advantage.

The Bulldogs better stay on their toes with this one after his 5-star challenge performance because Texas and Ohio State are just as interested.

I expect Ringo to release his top schools that he plans on taking official visits to sooner than later. Georgia, Texas and Ohio State are all likely going to be on that list, and it wouldn’t surprise me if those are the final three schools for him.

Ringo visited Georgia on May 18 for the scavenger hunt weekend with his mom, and since that visit, the momentum surrounding him and the Bulldogs seems to be real. I like seeing that kind of energy with a guy like Ringo because he is one that would set Georgia’s 2020 class over the edge.

If I had to predict where Ringo ends up, I would say Georgia is the team to beat right now. He could pull the trigger before football season especially if you see him release his top schools soon.
