Georgia Football: Two 2020 Commits show out at recruiting challenge
Georgia football had a few 2020 members compete in the Rivals 5-star challenge on June 25, and they showed out in Atlanta.
For the 2020 class, Georgia football currently has 14 members and rank on 247Sports as the No. 4 overall class and the No. 3 class in the SEC.
The Bulldogs had Marcus Rosemy and Jalen Kimber participate in the event, and they both showed out in Mercedes Benz stadium.
Rosemy is a 4-star wide receiver from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and is one of the most recent commitments the Bulldogs landed for 2020.
He put on a show in the Benz and won the Wide Receiver MVP award.
Rosemy made catches like this one all day long and blew people away with his athleticism and ability to get separation from his defenders.
His route running is fantastic and I felt terrible for any defenders that had to go up against him. It seems like he respectively earned the MVP honor.
Rosemy went up against 5-star Georgia target Kelee Ringo and gave him everything he had. These two were quite aggressive when they went against each other, and it potentially showed what the Bulldogs have to look forward to in practice.
I have to give it to Rosemy because Ringo grabbed around his waist to avoid him making the play. In all honesty, I want to see these two go head-to-head again with pads on and see who comes out on top after ten reps.
Kimber made some noise on June 25 initially with his 40-yard dash time when he posted a 4.5 time.
Kimber is a 6-0 and 170-pound 4-star cornerback from Arlington, Texas. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 78 overall player, the No. 6 CB and the No. 12 prospect in Texas.
He didn’t win any of the MVP awards, but we got to see him take some reps and show off his skills. Unfortunately, Kimber had to go up against Rosemy, and the wideout got the best of him.
I don’t know if Rosemy just had that great of a day or Kimber was just off for this play, either way, I know that Rosemy is a huge pickup for the Dawgs. As for Kimber, I don’t think Rosemy will get by him that easily the next time they go head-to-head with each other.
Georgia had great participation from its two committed members of the 2020 class. The Bulldogs had quite a few prospects at the event as well, and I’m sure these two were chatting up the Dawgs all day long.
As we head into a dead period for recruiting, this event was a chance for scouts to evaluate some of the top-ranked guys before we head into fall camp and football season.
Georgia football seems to have some tricks up its sleeve, and it won’t surprise me if we see some prospects who participated in this event commit to the Dawgs.
