Georgia football is already off to a quick start for the 2020 class. With G-Day drawing a massive crowd, we at Dawn of the Dawg take a crack at predicting who we think will be in this class.

The 2020 class is already impressive for Georgia football. According to 247Sports team rankings, Georgia has the No. 4 class in the country and the No. 3 class in the SEC. The Bulldogs commits have a 92.76 average rating.

Georgia currently has 2 5-stars, 10 4-stars, one 3-star, and one 2-star in its 2020 class.

The two 5-stars are outside linebacker Mekhail Sherman and offensive tackle Broderick Jones.

Sherman is 6-3 and 234 pounds. According to 247Sport’s Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 10 overall, No. 2 OLB, and the No. 1 player in D.C.

He committed to the Bulldogs on May 9 over Ohio State and 31 other schools that offered him.

Jones is 6-5 and 275 pounds. According to 247Sports 2020 Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 20 overall player, the No. 2 OT and the No. 3 prospect in Georgia.

Jones committed to Georgia a year ago on April 26. He currently has four offers and chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, Maryland, and Tennessee. Clemson showed some interests as well but hasn’t offered yet.

He is one of the most committed members of the 2020 group, and I don’t see him winding up anywhere but at Georgia.

The four stars for the Dawgs are Carson Beck, Jamil Burroughs, Nazir Stackhouse, Tate Ratledge, Marcus Rosemy, Jalen Carter, Jalen Kimber, Joshua Braun, Justin Robinson, and Warren Brinson. Corey Wren is the 3-star and Jared Zirkel is the 2-star kicker.

Beck, is the Dawgs 2020 quarterback, from Jacksonville, Florida. He is the No. 94 overall,  No. 4 PRO-STYLE QB and the No. 11 prospect in Florida.

Carter, Brinson, Burroughs, and  Stackhouse are the four 4-star defensive tackles of the 2020 class.

Burroughs is No. 29 DT and the No. 34 Georgia prospect. As for Stackhouse, he is the No. 23 DT and the No. 27 Georgia prospect. Carter is the No. 74 overall, No. 7 DT, and the No. 9 player in Fla. Brinson is the No. 30 DT and the No. 52 prospect in Fla.

The Bulldogs currently have Jones, Braun, and Ratledge committed on the offensive line. Georgia’s lost Akinola Ogunbiyi, a four-star offensive guard from Sugar Land, Texas on June 23 as he flipped to Texas A&M.

Braun ranks as the No. 25 OT and the No. 45 player in Fla. Ratledge ranks as the No. 38 overall, the No. 5 OT and the No. 5 prospect in Georgia.

Kimber is the lone secondary player in the 2020 class right now. He is a four-star cornerback from Arlington, Texas.  He ranks as the No. 78 overall,  No. 6 CB and the No. 12 player in Texas.

The Dawgs have three wideouts committed right now. Wren was the most recent to commit on June 21. He is the No. 35 ATH and the No. 23 prospect in Louisiana.

Rosemy is a 4-star wide receiver who could likely end up earning his 5th star by the end of the football season. He is the No. 39 overall, the No. 6 WR, and the NO. 4 player in Fla.  Robinson is the second four-star wide receiver.

He’s 6-4 and 200 pounds going into his senior year, and this frame is what Georgia needs. Robinson is from Mcdonough, Georgia and ranks as the No. 60 WR and the No. 33 prospect in Georgia.

Since the last time we did the class prediction, the Dawgs added a kicker to its class.  Zirkel is the No. 6 2020 kicker and boy does this guy have a leg. He won Georgia’s kicking camp earlier this month right before he committed on June 13.

Now that you know who the current commits are let’s take a look at who I think will make up Georgia’s entire 2020 class.

I give my prediction, followed by a 1-3 rating of how confident I am that Georgia lands the player, and I provide a few ‘other targets’ names to keep an eye out for during this cycle.
