Georgia football has some of the best offensive line talent in the country right now, and college football experts are talking about it in their preseason previews.

One of Georgia football’s most talented offensive linemen is Andrew Thomas. Specifically, he is one of the best offensive tackles in the country.

USA Today ranked the 10-best offensive linemen for 2019 and Thomas got the No. 1 spot.

USA Today put him as their No. 1 lineman because he has 28 starts and how he didn’t struggle at all after shifting from right tackle in his freshman year to left tackle in his sophomore season.

The top 5 are No. 2  Tyler Biadasz from Wisconsin, No. 3 Walker Little from Stanford, No. 4 Ben Bredeson from Michigan, and No. 5 Calvin Throckmorton from Oregon.

The rest of the list includes No.6 Jedrick Willis Jr. from Alabama, No. 7 Alaric Jackson from Iowa, No. 8 Trey Adams from Washington, No. 9 Ezra Cleveland from Boise State, and No. 10 Creed Humphrey from Oklahoma.

After the 2018 season, according to his Georgiadogs.com bio, Thomas was on the SI.com All-America First Team, Associated Press & Walter Camp All-America Second Team, Coaches All-SEC First Team, and Associated Press All-SEC Second Team.

Pro Football Focus put this graphic together on Twitter to show off his stats and why he is one of the elite tackles. He graded out at an 80.5, and I think this season will be even better.

Thomas is one of those guys that never says much but is one of the biggest leaders and a guy the younger teammates admire.  He quietly dominants because he’s more focused on the prize than the limelight.

Instead of seeing Thomas getting a big head from all this attention, I expect him to be the absolute same and take his game to another level in 2019.

Thomas earned a starting role on the offensive line as a freshman and started all 15 games. Then he started all 13 games in 2018 as well. He doesn’t shy away from work, and it shows on the field.

Despite earning all this recognition, Thomas is one of the most humble people on the team, and I think that’s why he’s one of the great ones for Georgia.

I think we will see Thomas get more and more recognition the closer college football season approaches and I think all he will do with it is put it on his motivational board to keep working hard.

The offensive line group for the Dawgs is probably the teams most talented and deep Georgia has ever had at that position.
