Georgia football may end up taking more than three receivers for the 2020 class since the Bulldogs lost J.J. Holloman in June. However, who will that be?

With the loss of J.J. Holloman last month, Georgia football could decide to take one more receiver in the 2020 class.

Right now the Bulldogs have 4-star Marcus Rosemy, 4-star Justin Robinson and 3-star Corey Wren committed.

While that is an already loaded group at the position and the Bulldogs very well could have the best in the country with Rosemy, losing Holloman freed up another scholarship.

Georgia could decide to use the scholarship in another area, or the Dawgs could pull another wideout.

There are tons of talented receivers in the 2020 class. So who could the Dawgs be after to fill that place?

Rosemy is in the thick of things with the top wideouts and is making a case for himself to be a five-star receiver.

After his performances at the 5-star challenge and now the Nike Opening, it wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t get that fifth star.

The Bulldogs have offered 40 total wideouts including guys like Julian Fleming,  Demond Demas, Rakim Jarrett, Johnny Wilson, Jermaine Burton, and Leonard Manuel.

Here are two guys I think Georgia keeps going after quietly until the Dawgs decide to take another receiver or not.

Leonard Manuel

I can remember when Manuel was hot on the Dawgs this time last year, and boy I wanted him in this class.

At 6-4 and 200 pounds, he could be making an impact immediately. Manuel is a 4-star receiver from Ocala, Florida and committed to the Gators on Jan. 14.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 67 overall, No. 14 WR and the No. 7 prospect out of Florida.

Manuel initially committed to Miami on Nov. 12, 2017. Then he visited Georgia for an unofficial visit on April 13.  Four days later, he de-commits from Miami, and the Dawgs were thought to be the leading team.

Even his crystal ball projections give Georgia a 60 percent advantage over Florida who had a 40 percent advantage.

However, Manuel then visited Florida on June 15, 2018, Sept. 1, Sept. 8, Sept. 15, Oct. 6, Nov. 3, and Nov. 17. He went to Gainesville seven different times last year and pulled the trigger in January.

While that seems to be a pretty solid commit, who knows what could happen, I know the Dawgs were in it at one point, and maybe if they showed some more love, it could happen.

I mean Georgia does have a lot of success in the Sunshine State.

Manuel is an ideal wideout with his size and height. While I don’t think he will de-commit from Florida, I wanted to include him because the Dawgs seem to be interested in the bigger receivers in this class.

Jermaine Burton

Burton is a Georgia kid that moved out west and currently is from Calabasas, California. He’s 6-0.5 and 187 pounds and is another that was interested in Georgia for a long time.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 44 overall player, No. 8 WR and the No. 7 prospect out of California.

LSU ended up getting his commitment on April 20, but the Dawgs cannot give up on this one if they want him bad enough.

I like Burton’s speed and quickness on the football field. He’s smart enough and talented enough to get space between him and his defender while also quick enough to blow past him if needed. He runs a 4.43 40-yard dash, and it’s impressive.

Similar to Manuel I don’t see him de-committing from the Tigers. He has a good relationship there and seems to love Baton Rouge. However,  I think this is who Georgia would be after to be the fourth and final wideout for the 2020 class.

Georgia currently has the No. 5 overall and the No. 3 SEC class rankings with an average per commit of 92.71 percent. The Dawgs will likely take 23-24 in this class and currently have 14 committed.
