THE next Buckeye back?

Ohio State presents Milton an early playing opportunity. Current THE Ohio State running back star J.K. Dobbins has two 1000-yard rushing seasons and appears a lock to leave for the NFL after 2019.

The Buckeyes felt optimistic after this comment by Milton’s dad after Kendall Milton’s official visit to Columbus.

“We have to do our due diligence,” Milton’s dad told 247Sports.com . “We gave our word that we would take those visits, so we need to give them their fair shot.”

Then there was this.

Oops

Judging from the Ohio State beat reporters, the Buckeyes are no longer optimistic.

From Phil Harrison at Buckswire, “At this point, I’d say the Buckeyes aren’t the favorites by a long shot, but he could be playing the equivalent to college football possum with everyone.”

While no man can know what lies in the heart of an 18-year-old, when your hope is “playing possum,” it’s time to move on, so lets.
