Georgia football has three 5-stars committed in the 2020 class and could end up with at least eight of them. Of those eight potential five-stars can the Dawgs land two 5-star defensive backs?

Right now, Georgia football has one defensive back in its 2020 class. The lone secondary player is 4-star Jalen Kimber from Arlington, Texas.

According to 247Sports, Kimber ranks as the No. 85 overall, No. 6 CB, and the No. 14 prospect in Texas.

He is part of Georgia’s No. 5 overall and No. 3 SEC class that currently has 17 members.

Georgia’s far from done when it comes to the 2020 class, but at the same time, spots are tight.

Could the Dawgs take a couple more corners in 2020? I believe they will make the room and find a way to take three total.

The first, of course, will be Kimber, but who are the other two?

I believe Kelee Ringo is one of those guys that Georgia’s high on and has been for a long time. He’s been to campus a ton of times this offseason, and I don’t expect the visits to stop. I bet he will be at Georgia vs. Notre Dame and he could make his decision after that weekend.

Ringo is a 5-star cornerback from Scottsdale, Arizona. According to 247Sports, he ranks as the No. 8 overall, No. 1 CB, and the No. 1 prospect in AZ. Ringo is 6-2 and 205 pounds and is a big-bodied corner that could help the Dawgs out so much in the secondary.

I love his speed and vision, and he’s going to be tough for any wideout to catch a ball against him. Ringo likes the Dawgs, and I think he ends up with the Dawgs, but I also know he will take all of his official visits.

The other guy that I think Georgia could wind up taking is Elias Ricks. He’s currently committed to LSU, but if the Dawgs make room for a third secondary player, it’ll be Ricks.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Ricks ranks as the No. 15 overall, the No. 2 CB, and the No. 1 prospect in Florida. He recently moved to Bradenton, Fla., to play his senior year at IMG Academy. Before that, he lived in California and played ball there.

Like Ringo, he’s a big corner who will be able to go up against any wideout. Another thing some people may not realize is that Ricks and Kendall Milton are really good friends and grew up playing ball with each other.

A couple of years ago, I interviewed with them, and they both said they wanted to play with each other in college. Well, Milton’s is a Dawg, and I don’t see him changing his mind.

While it may be a long shot to think that Ricks will flip and come to Athens, I wouldn’t count him out just yet. I expect him to visit Athens this fall, and I expect Milton to stay in his ear. If he wants in, I believe Georgia finds a way to get him to Athens.

Georgia’s new defensive back coach Charlton Warren has done a great job since he got to Athens on the recruiting front. If he makes this happen, Warren will make a statement quickly as the new defensive back coach.
