Georgia football sophomore Jordan Davis is a big piece to the puzzle and he could be the piece that makes or breaks the D-line.

Georgia football has been able to find success in many areas on the field, both offensively and defensively.

If there is one area that Georgia’s has been lacking for though, it would have to be the defensive line play.

As a unit the defensive line all last season was only able to rack up 7.5 sacks which did not rank well nationally obviously.

Georgia has not had a defensive lineman drafted since John Jenkins in 2013 in the third round by the New Orleans Saints.

A man who could very well change that goes by the name of Jordan Davis.

There is nothing small about this monster of a human who weighs in at 6-6 330 pounds.

To make things even better, the Sophomore defensive lineman also wears No. 99, so he is the biggest of the biggest in every category possible.

Thanks to such a massive frame, Davis can swallow up a gap quick and push offensive lineman around like they are tackling dummies.

As Georgia was seeking for that spark up front last season, Davis was able to provide a solid supporting cast.

He played in 11 of 14 games last year as a freshman Davis produced 25 tackles, 1.5 sacks, including a career-high performance against LSU when he racked seven tackles.

Before coming to Georgia, Davis was a 3-star recruit and ranked 424th in the Nation. As we all know, Kirby does not care about how many stars are beside his name, and that was shown as Davis saw a good bit of playing time last season.

Georgia has a solid returning cast of defensive linemen with guys like Tyler Clark, David Marshall, and even freshman newcomer Travon Walker could make a big splash early on his career much like Davis.

As big and strong as Davis may be, no man can pressure the quarterback all by himself every play.

Georgia’s ability to get to the quarterback and close the gaps defensively could very make or break their chances at a national title run.

Such guys like Jordan Davis are going to be very crucial to a successful season.

Opposing teams are going to have enough on their plate when facing Georgia, and big boy Jordan Davis is looking to 99 of those 100 problems.
